THE QUIRINALE PALACE ROME
In November 1977 I met with Giancarlo, one of three sons of President Giovanni Leone and his wife, in the Quirinale Palace in Rome. Giancarlo and I had a common friend, professor Dr. Panagiotis Kizeridis. At the time Giancarlo was a journalist. I remember he had great interest for communication, film and television. Giancarlo later became Director of Radio Televisione Italiana Program 1
Giovanni Leone was an Italian politician. He was the 37th Prime Minister of Italy from 21 June 1963 to 4 December 1963 and again from 24 June 1968 to 12 Decem- ber 1968. He also served as the sixth President of the Republic from 1971 to 1978.

The monarchy was abolished in 1946 and the Palace became the official residence and workplace for the Presidents of the Italian Republic. Through a common friend Dr.Panagiotis Kizeridis, I was invited for a visit to the Palace in November 1977. It was tremdous interesting to talk with the very knowledgable Giancarlo in this historic building. Giancarlo became Director of Radio Italiana RAI 1. In 1977 when I met him, he was also a journalist like myself. Giancarlo is an intelligent and humanistic person. To the left bellow is Giancarlo as Director of RAI 1 with logo to the right.
