La Radiodiffusion Télévision Française

Le 9 février 1949, la Radiodiffusion Française (1949-1963), en charge du service pub- lic de la radiotélévision, devient la Radiodiffusion Télévision Française (RTF). Le dé- cret du 5 février 1959, qui ratifie le monopole d'Etat, la dote d'un statut "d'établisse- ment public à caractère industriel et commercial" disposant d'une certaine autonomie de gestion. Elle est placée alors sous l'autorité du Ministre de l'Information.

Coming from the cold north, I imedeatly felt the warm, French hospitality, from which the Norwegians can learn a lot. Didier Ades is a great sport and a real friend.

Didier Ades invited me to be at the Hotel Byblos in St. Tropez when France Inter would interview the famous French cult singer Johnny Halliday. It was great fun to watch the premium singer and artist who once married to the equally famous Sylvie Vartan. I was driving from London to Paris. After Paris I drowe to Lyon, Cannes, Nice and St Tropez.
